My husband had a tumor that was taken care of 2 years ago with cyberknife and successful, however, the same tumor is showing HOT once again, we were told that possibly he should have had 5 treatments instead of 2..can it still be successful..the tumor is 15 cc. how large is too large to treat. WE go tomorrow to see what we do next. Thank you..

In my view, the biggest mistake is to give less treatment the second time. If it did not work the first time, it is less likely to work the second time. Need to be aggressive, and that size is probably treatable without significant problems.

Three years ago i was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer. two tumors one on each lung measuring over 3 cm each. thanks to Dr Medburys advice and encouragement i fought for and recieved five cyberknife treatments to each tumor over five days . so far im still showing no growth and no hot spots , but was glad to hear that cyberknife is an option should these tumors start growing again .and as i stated earlier its been three years ... pat51 ps great to see doctors back at cyberknife site , sure saved my life and i have avocated cyberknife to friends and have actually giving info videos on cyberknife to several doctors offices ......
