Hi, I posted here several months ago. My mom has HER 2+ bc that went to her brain 2 years ago. She has a neurosurgeon, rad. onc. and neuro onc. on her team. The lession was on her R. cerebellum so she had 3 tx of cyberknife. In that time she has lost balance on her R. side causing constant dizziness and requiring the use of a cane or walker, deafness in R. ear, vision problems in R. eye and some damage to her taste buds. she has MRI's every 2-3 months. One new lesion in temporal that they are keeping an eye on. No ca. cells in her ear or CSF. Her doctors say the lession likely caused neurological damage to her cerebellum, causing her permanent balance problem. Her neurosurgeon said it is unlikely the cyberknife damage CN VIII. They all believe the cyberknife did cause neurological damage to her hearing, vision and taste. Is this possible?
