Patient Forum

The CyberKnife Patient Forum is designed to provide a place for people who have been diagnosed with cancer, their family and friends, to exchange useful information and provide support to one another. The Forum may also help people find answers to questions they have about the CyberKnife treatment experience. Accuray strives to facilitate these exchanges and encourage discussions. Recently we have experienced some aggressive or inappropriate spam postings. We are diligently working to resolve this issue and thank you in advance for your patience.

I am 6 years post ck and I have had minimal care in my post op care. I have had several MRI's and was told no growth. I have seen 2 different doctors in this journey of post ck and have been told no growth . The Dr I have been working with is leaving to go teach somewhere and so I did another MRI at a different facility and took all my scans with me and they say that I have had growth but it was a couple of years ago. I am very frustrated. They said that the tumor has elongated... does this happen with death of the tumor? I really need someone who knows what they are talking about to give me some insight. Thank you Sherene

People tend to over read these things. They make measurements and make declarations, forgetting that measurements are virtually meaningless unless there is a big change. If you are doing well, then sit tight and keep scanning.
