newly diagnosed - too big for radiation treatment?

Hi, I was recently diagnosed with AN and MRI shows 2.8 x 3.3 x 2.9 and there is brain stem compression. Is it too big for radiation? I am going to see a neurosurgeon next week and my guess he would want to operate.. I am 37 year old female. Will appreciate your response Best, Ksenia

Without seeing the images it is impossible to be sure, but we would likely advise a limited resection done in such a way as to spare the cranial nerves, then do radiosurgery for the remainder
