My mom had a kidney transplant three years ago. Unfortunately she recently had extensive surgery due to advanced ovarian cancer with metasis to colon requiring a permanent colostomy, which due to bad location constantly leaks. She had multiple complications from this surgery. The doctors don't sound convincing as they have never had a patient with ovarian cancer and a kidney transplant. I am trying to find anyone has gone through or witness the same. The other chemo medication Arbaxane which we were told is "baby chemo" and safer for her kidney but the cancer will come back as this is not as strong. I am thinking of cyberknife treatment and want to protect her kidney. The odds are not good. I only want the best possible choice. Does anyone have any experience/information on this topic?
