Patient 81 year old male with history of leukemia (in remission ten years after diagnosis); successful Cyberknife treatment for (left) lung cancer one year ago.

Now development of a new aggressive-appearing renal mass, left kidney, 3.5 x 3.3 cm predominantly involving central renal collecting system; highly suspicious for transitional cell carcinoma.

Would Cyberknife on this type of kidney tumor be effective/successful?

Thanks.

Probably, but it would have to be looked at carefully to be sure we could protect the rest of the kidney. I would let the CK center that treated his lung take a look.
