T2/T3 spinal ependymoma CK candidate?

My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago with an intramedulary tumor, possibly ependymoma, at the T2/3 area. He was monitored through MRI for all the time and has no symptoms. Now (last 6 months) the accompanying cyst (but not tumor) is increasing in size and Johns Hopkins/Baltimore suggests surgery to remove tumor. Surgery of course has risks for future mobilty/walking. Wondering if CyberKnife is an option for these types of cases?

It might be a reasonable alternative in some circumstances, but will not help the cyst. This is probably best treated surgically depending on the risk. The best way to be sure is to have the scans looked at by someone with experience with both forms of treatment. Sinai may have experience with intramedullary tumors and CK, or you may want to try Stanford.
