Hello my dad is 56 and has a large Kidey tumor 16cm with innumberable mets to the liver, the largest of which are 4 and 6cm. His primary tumor is squeezing his vena cava. My question is regarding the both the primary tumor and liver mets. Could cyberknife be used on the larger lesions? (in combo with theraspheres for the smaller lesions) Could cyberknife be used to ease the pressure around the vena cava? (we have already been told resection isn't an option). Thanks very much,

I don't think CK would be helpful for either. We do best with smaller amounts of disease. Standard radiation might help the vena cava pressure.
