Hi all, I was diagnosticated with some giant liver hemangiomas (one of 12cm and the other about 8cm, both in the right lobe). They are for sure benign but I understood radiotherapy can be an option instead of surgery. Do you know if cyberknife can be used in this situation? What could be the side effects, especially on long term? Does it worth to go for radiotherapy instead of surgery? Thank you for your help.

These wold not be treated with CK because of size. I am not an expert on liver hemangiomas, but I am fairly certain that surgery is the way to go if they need to be treated at all. The liver can regenerate itself and youi would probably end up with little if any change in your liver function. Just see someone who is experienced in liver surgery.
