Hello, my dad was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer. He had his rectum removed and now for the second time since the initial diagnosis they found a spot on his liver. They brought up the cyber knife treatment but he is deathly afraid of the risks that go along with this and the pain associated with the fiducial placement? Is there any advice anyone can give him to make him feel more comfortable with this? Is there any pain with the fiducial placement? Thanks so much!

They usually sedate patients for fiducial placement. It should not be a problem

Does the cyberknife still have the 90% success rate on liver spots?
